ABOUT US

The BfE Vancouver Chapter was founded in Autumn 2020 at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Founders Rachel Goh and Inbal Pick, first learned about BfE through a UBC business professor who shared the organisation's work on LinkedIn and in one of his classes. Struck by the idea of pairing student talent with social entrepreneurs who so rarely had access to it, the two set out to bring BfE to Canada. After an initial recruitment drive to bring new students into the fold, the chapter took off. What began as a small founding team has since grown into a large chapter organised across five teams: Consulting, Finance Advisory, Communications, Startup Recruitment, and Growth & Partnerships.

Situated in the centre of Canada's most ethnically and linguistically diverse city, BfE Vancouver plays an essential role in BfE's Incubation Programme, drawing on the team's diverse business backgrounds to advise early-stage social enterprises with existing revenue and a clear mission to create impact for their beneficiaries. As of 2026, the chapter has completed six full engagement cycles, helping entrepreneurs across emerging markets move closer to becoming investor-ready.
