ABOUT US

The BfE Singapore Chapter was founded in October 2016 by Jeremy Soh and Sim Jia Qing. As an inter-university organisation, the chapter draws student members from three of Singapore's leading universities: the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore Management University (SMU), and Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Since its founding, the chapter has grown significantly, from an initial team of 16 to over 60 students today. Its capabilities have expanded just as much: starting with Consulting and Finance Advisory, the chapter added Growth & Partnerships and Startup Recruitment teams in 2019, followed by Communications and Technology teams in 2020.
Over the years, the Singapore Chapter has worked with social enterprise startups across Africa and Latin America, while more recently sharpening its focus on the Asian region. As part of the wider BfE network, the Singapore Chapter is committed to becoming the premier advisory organisation for social enterprise startups across Asia and beyond, delivering high-impact projects, connecting entrepreneurs to funding, and offering its student members a genuinely meaningful learning experience.
