The BfE Chicago Chapter was founded in March 2025 at the University of Chicago by Sarah Galindo, making it BfE's newest chapter. Sarah, who grew up in Colombia, first learned about BfE through a close friend involved with the New York chapter, and was drawn to our mission of creating opportunities for changemakers held back by structural barriers. The chapter launched with strong early momentum, and the team completed their first client engagement early in 2026. Since then, the Chicago chapter has completed a second recruitment cycle, expanded its team capacity, and broadened the range of services it offers.
