A better world whereby social enterprise startups, students and professionals effectively bridge the gap between career success and making a difference in the world.
1) To make social enterprise startups investor-ready through the advisory services of our global network of students and professionals, thereby empowering them to create enduring social impact.
2) To forge a community of students and professionals who are passionate about making a social impact through their skills and career.
"Bridges for Enterprise" (BfE) is an international non-profit organization incorporated under Swiss law. We seek to inspire people to bridge the gap between career success and making difference in the world.
Founded in 2015, we believe that one of the most effective ways of making a tangible difference in the world is by empowering social entrepreneurs, who employ "ground-up" sustainable solutions to tackle social issues such as poverty alleviation. We select the best startups from around the world onto our specially tailored BfE programme that provides pro-bono finance, consulting, legal advisory through our network of professionals and students. This empowers startups to bridge the gap, running successful businesses that achieves enduring social impact.
At BfE, we observe that many students enter university with big dreams of using their future career to make a difference in the world, and wonder if they are able to hold on to this idealism as they enter the corporate world. We were founded on the belief that it is possible for students to bridge the gap. We accomplish this by giving students the opportunity to develop corporate skills by working on projects for social enterprises that go on to make a tangible impact on the world.
Additionally, BfE Network is a network of professionals in the corporate world who are passionate to use their skill-sets to make a difference in the world by providing mentorship to the startups and students under the BfE programme.
While BfE helps social entrepreneurs, our sister organisation "Bridges for Charity" (BfC) seeks to empower charities by connecting them to pro-bono advisory services that enhance their effort to make a difference in the world. Click here to find out more:
BfE and BfC are part of "Bridges Initiative".
