Bridges for Enterprise
Non-profit Organizations
BfE is a UK non-profit that propels social enterprise startups in the developing world to scale their impact.
About us
Bridges for Enterprise (BfE) empowers early-stage social entrepreneurs to scale their ventures and expand their impact. Founded in 2015, we are a UK-registered charity home to a global community of purpose-driven professionals and students that provide pro-bono advisory services to social innovators in the developing world. Through our flagship multi-stage Incubation Programme, we support early-stage businesses with existing revenue and a clear mission to create social impact for their beneficiaries. Our high-quality advisory services are free of charge — and always will be — as we don’t believe that money should ever be a barrier for social entrepreneurs to receive additional support in scaling their ventures. Our work has helped empower over 150 early-stage startups from 30+ different countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa with the goal of making them investor-ready. 💫 Collaboration for social change! How can we come together to amplify our impact, share our knowledge, support others with our strengths and get support in our areas of weakness? Every organization looking to create change can look at this from there lens and find ways to collaborate. It is not rocket science. How can we collaborate more in our ecosystems??
“We need to approach social change not like we are seeking a silver bullet, but rather in search of collaborative principles that allow different people power strategies to coexist and stimulate productive change together.” Some see organizing and mobilizing as competing ways of creating change, but as the world of social change continues to struggle for resources and people, organizers and mobilizers must explore how they can help each other. Long-time practitioners and scholars of both organizing and mobilizing, Amanda Tattersall of the University of Sydney and Nina Hall of Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) argue for an “ecosystem” approach that looks at how different theories of change can reinforce each other. Read three mini case studies and learn more about the collaborative principles the authors recommend for leaders of social change—central coordination, parallel play, and agreeing to disagree—in their article for SSIR: https://lnkd.in/eT5BiUYt #socialchange #theoryofchange #collaboration #organizers #mobilize
